This exam is an extensive assessment of your overall oral health that goes beyond a routine checkup. It involves a thorough examination of your teeth, gums, bite, and jaw. This in-depth evaluation establishes a baseline for your future dental care and can take up to 1 hour. We will request to take x-rays. Please send us any x-rays you have taken in the last year from your previous dentist!
For children under the age of 18. Usually this exam is combined with a cleaning.
If you have not had a cleaning for a while, you may require more than 1 session of hygiene to completely clean all of your teeth. Otherwise, this session with the hygienist will be about 1.5hrs and include scaling, polish/topical fluoride treatment (optional).
If you are in pain or have a specific dental concern, you may come in for a 20-30 minute emergency exam for Dr. Wong to take a look at the area and conduct a brief consult. Please note that no additional work will take place during this appointment.
Dr. Katherine Wong is a General Dental Practitioner who is also trained in traditional braces and Invisalign to straighten teeth and improve bite alignment.
